THE STORY
OF LOVE
MEET
We first met at a gathering of knowledge in a small campus prayer room, amid the recitation of sacred verses that brought peace to the heart. I saw her sitting in the front row, her presence calm and serene, a gentle smile appearing as she lowered her gaze to write down every piece of advice shared by the ustadz. Not a single word was exchanged—only a quiet prayer in my heart, asking Allah to let our paths cross again in goodness and at the right time. From that day on, every time my forehead touched the prayer mat in sujood, I whispered her name in my supplications, hoping that this was not merely a fleeting admiration, but the beginning of a feeling blessed by Him.
ENGAGEMENT
After calming my heart through a long series of istikharah prayers, I strengthened my resolve to move forward with a sincere and pure intention. With confidence, I asked my parents to visit her family, carrying our hopes and prayers. With humility and respect, I expressed my earnest intention to propose before her family, who welcomed us with warmth and kindness. Alhamdulillah, Allah eased every step of our journey, and her father shared that they, too, had long been waiting for a man willing to honor their daughter in a noble and respectful way. That day, we all felt at peace, knowing that everything was carried out in a manner pleasing to Him—calm, sincere, and with nothing concealed.
MARRIAGE
When the words of ijab kabul were finally pronounced on our wedding day, emotion filled the room, and tears of gratitude quietly fell. In that moment, she became my lawful wife, witnessed by Allah, our families, our guests, and all who prayed for goodness upon us. Prayers continued to accompany our first steps into this small household, and in my heart I made a vow—to guide her gently, to love her wholeheartedly, and to protect her until the end of my life. Everything felt beautiful, for we wove this love with sincere intention—an intention not only for this world, but also for the hereafter. Every prayer, blessing, and smile shared that day became our strength as we begin this long journey together with love and patience, hoping always to remain within His pleasure.
